Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic start to 2025. I’m still buzzing with that New Year energy, and what better way to channel it than into creating new art? I’m thrilled to share my latest piece: a freshly colored pin-up of Diva, the star of my upcoming independent, self-published comic book, Clockwork Diva!
This piece was a joy to create. I just finished it yesterday, and it really captures the spirit of Clockwork Diva – a unique blend of steampunk aesthetics, intricate clockwork details, and a dash of rebellious attitude. This pin-up showcases Diva’s strength, confidence, and a touch of that signature spark that makes her such a compelling character. In fact, I’m so happy with how this turned out that it’s a strong contender for one of the covers of the Clockwork Diva comic book. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
Bringing Clockwork Diva to Life: My Self-Publishing Journey
As many of you know, Clockwork Diva is a project that’s very close to my heart. It’s been amazing bringing this steampunk world to life, from developing the story and characters to creating the artwork. It has all led me to this point, where I’m working on self-publishing the first issue of the Clockwork Diva comic book, as well as working on the accompanying novel and a 4-song EP. It’s been a labor of love, and I’m incredibly excited to finally share it with all of you. I’ll be doing a Kickstarter for it very soon to fund printing and production costs.
The journey of creating and self-publishing an independent comic book is both challenging and rewarding. It demands a lot of dedication, creativity, and hard work. But it also offers the unparalleled freedom to tell the stories you’re passionate about, exactly the way you envision them. Clockwork Diva is a prime example of that freedom, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this project. I hope that you all enjoy the comic, the novel and the music.
