I’ll be the first to admit, when the Spider-Man universe started expanding with new characters and alternate versions, I was a little skeptical. But Gwen Stacy’s transformation into Ghost-Spider (a.k.a. Spider-Gwen) completely won me over. There’s something captivating about her blend of familiar and new—the perfect mix of classic Spider-Man elements with a fresh twist.

One of the best parts of drawing Ghost-Spider is playing around with her distinctive costume. It’s got just the right balance of sleek superhero style and street-level grit. The design has so many cool features, like the web-patterned hoodie and bold black-and-white contrast, that lend themselves to dramatic inking. When I approached this piece, I wanted to capture a bit of Gwen’s unique style and strength. She’s a character that’s agile, tough, and constantly pushing herself, yet still maintains that sense of being grounded in the world around her. There’s a calm intensity in her pose here that I hope reflects that.

Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy are, to me, two of the most exciting additions to the Spider-verse. They take the legacy of Spider-Man and bring something new to the table—new challenges, new settings, and new personalities. I really enjoy exploring their styles and character nuances through my artwork. This particular piece of Gwen was a lot of fun to work on, and I can see myself revisiting both her and Miles in future projects.

If you’re a Ghost-Spider fan, this original art is available now in my store for anyone who wants to add it to their collection! Just head over to the shop to see more details or reach out to me through the contact form if you have any questions. I’m always up for chatting with fellow comic enthusiasts.

Thanks for checking out my latest piece—let me know which Spider-Man characters you’d like to see next!
