Another childhood hero has gone. George Perez was such an inspiration to me and showed me how amazing comics could be. He penciled a cover for my Shanghai book that I got to ink and color, which was probably the brightest point of my career. He was one of a kind. George was an acception to the “never meet your heroes” rule.
